WA News 2009 No62 - 20th Sept

Major storms across world warning for 21-23 Sep.

7 extreme weather events predicted for Atlantic / USA,  Pacific & Europe - driven by solar activity
- caused by major 'Solar Weather Impact period' predicted by WeatherAction.com
- Early September forecasts scored 10/10 success
- Typhoon Koppu hit South China & Hong Kong 15th Sept confirming Weather Action long range forecast

Seven specific extreme storm developments are predicted to occur during WeatherAction's long range World Weather Warning for 21-23 Sept caused by a 'Major Solar Weather Impact period' (SWIP).

Piers Corbyn, astrophysicist of WeatherAction.com says; "We warned of some of the likely world-wide effects of this major Solar Weather Impact period in our forecasts & public video issued on 24th & 28th August and in direct communications with customers -

See video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJg8haUm-sk Atlantic storms forecast also copied in Brit & Ireland 30 day Sept forecast via http://www.weatheraction.com/pages/pv.asp?p=wact8&fsize=0  /  http://www.weatheraction.com/member.asp  - also for  all extreme events forecast regions]

"This is a major 'SWIP' so we are making public all we know about its likely consequences. As in other SWIPs there will be other simultaneous extreme weather developments around the world which we do not know about but we are confident that in future the scope of our Solar Weather Technique will reach even further and predict hitherto unpredictable events. A general warning to apply anywhere in the world is that in this period 21st to 23rd Sept standard meteorology forecasts will tend to underestimate the intensity of rain and thunder events, frontal activity and storm systems even from 12 hours ahead"

The seven warnings

Europe (2)
West Mediterranean sea storm / wind & heavy rain 22-23 Sept probably central Med particularly around Gulf of Genoa. (in parallel with TS formation)  - poss France & N Italy - Major thunderstorms & floods in places.
North Scandinavia - Wet windy & mild.
NOTE Higher pressure & much quieter in most of Ireland Britain & South Scandinavia

Atlantic/ Caribbean/Gulf (2)
Tropical Storm Formation & /or Rapid development Around 22-23 Sept
TS/Hurricane (80%) –TWO storms likely
  -   One in Atlantic and staying there
  -   One on Atlantic-Caribbean-Gulf track US Landfall possible

USA (1)
Major thunderstorm / Tornado formation Around 21-23 Sept.

East / Central Pacific (1)
Tropical Storm Formation &/or Rapid Development 21-23 Sept. TS/Hurricane (Typhoon) Deep in Pacific (75%) likely to reach cat 2-4 .

West North Pacific (1)
Tropical Storm /Super Typhoon formation 21-23 Sept Deep in Pacific (75%)  (Prob at same time as central / East Pacific development - ie two typhoons / TS on map at same time)

Piers Corbyn said: "These are 'late season' events which follow on from our 10/10 success for extreme events in the first 9 days of September. Despite the fact that some had 'written-off' the Atlantic Tropical Storm season we at WeatherAction correctly predicted the late season boost of Atlantic tropical storms - Erika and Fred, dramatic mud slides in South Norway and severe thunderstorms in USA, all appearing at the dates we predicted. - see WeatherActionNews 61:
