WeatherAction World long range Extremes Events Forecasts  - New service launched 

Following their 85% success rate of WeatherAction public extreme events forecasts around the World WeatherAction are making further extreme events forecasts commercially available via www.WeatherAction.com    

26 Extreme events Worldwide are forecasted by WeatherAction for August 2009 and were Videoed for the record 31 July. The August Extreme Taster Summary is on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1QMG8C1r0s

The extreme Events forecasts themselves are made available in pdf format via  www.WeatherAction.com  and the Purchase Forecasts link.

On 31 July Piers Corbyn summarized the forecasts for Aug 2009 which come in Four regions:

I.  Britain/Ireland, Europe and the Mediterranean.-  4 extreme events - 3 Red Weather Warning Periods and one Mediterranean Storm.

II  Australia and the Bay Of Bengal. - 6 Extreme Events – 2 in Australia and 4 in the Bay Of Bengal.

III  West Tropical North Pacific Typhoon Formation & Rapid Development – 6 Events involving 4 likely landfall hits.

IV  East Pacific and Atlantic/ Caribbean/Gulf Tropical Storm Formation & Rapid Development – 6 for East Pacific including 1 likely landfall and 4 Atlantic Basin events, one with 50/50 chance of land effect.

Met Office winter 'forecast' 2009-10 attacked as 'reckless misleading nonsense without scientific basis or skill'. "It should be ignored absolutely. The opposite to whatever the Met Office says in long range has been what happened for the last three years!"
